Filter cartridges

The polypropylene or 316L stainless steel filter cartridges, designed to be used with Enolmatic and Enolmaster bottling machines, offer efficient and versatile filtration solutions for a wide range of liquids. These filters are engineered to ensure maximum filtration of the bottled product while maintaining a steady flow and enabling a fast, effective bottling process.
Polypropylene cartridges stand out for their excellent resistance and porous structure, which provides precise and reliable filtration. Available in different micron ratings, from 0.2 to 5 microns, they are ideal for removing microorganisms and fine particles, ensuring a clear and safe final product.
Stainless steel cartridges, on the other hand, offer superior durability thanks to the use of robust, long-lasting materials. They are particularly suitable for filtering high-temperature liquids or those containing sugars. Also available in different filtration grades, they deliver excellent performance even after extended use.
Their easy-to-clean and reusable design provides a key ecological and economic advantage, along with their thermal resistance, which makes them ideal for processing hot liquids.
Both polypropylene and stainless steel cartridges represent a reliable and flexible choice for those who want to maintain high-quality standards in the filtration process, adapting efficiently to a variety of production needs.

How do you clean a fiber (polypropylene) cartridge?
For proper cleaning: Remove the cartridge from the filter housing. Rinse it thoroughly with water, preferably in reverse flow (that is, letting the water flow from the inside to the outside). Soak it in a solution of water and detergent (such as Enolclean, a hydrochloric detergent, or peracetic acid), with a concentration of 2‰. After the treatment, let it dry completely in the open air, avoiding storage in plastic bags, which promote mold and odors.
How do you clean a stainless steel cartridge?
To ensure long-lasting performance and efficiency: Remove the cartridge from the filter housing and use the housing as a container for soaking. Immerse the cartridge in hot water with soda or peracetic acid, always at a 2‰ concentration. Gently brush the mesh with a soft brush to avoid damaging the structure. Repeat the process if necessary. Finally, rinse the cartridge thoroughly with clean water.
Can I reuse the cartridges after cleaning?
Yes, both types of cartridges (fiber and stainless steel) are reusable if properly cleaned and dried. Regular maintenance extends their lifespan and maintains high filtration quality.
How often should I clean the cartridges?
It depends on the type of liquid being filtered and how often you use them. In general, it is recommended to clean them at the end of every filtration session, especially when filtering sensitive food products.
How should I store the cartridges between uses?
Once cleaned, cartridges should be left to dry completely and stored in a dry, clean environment. They should never be sealed in plastic bags, to avoid moisture and mold buildup.
Can I filter hot products?
Yes. Stainless steel cartridges can be used for hot filtration up to 80°C, making them ideal for liquids that need to be processed at high temperatures. Fiber cartridges are suitable for products at room temperature or slightly warm. Prolonged exposure to high temperatures can compromise their integrity.
