What products can I dose with Tenco’s pneumatic dosing units?
Our dosing units are ideal for the controlled filling of liquid, semi-liquid, and viscous products up to 20,000 cPs, with or without suspended particles. They are suitable for use in the food, cosmetic, chemical, pharmaceutical, and herbal sectors.
Are the dosing units compatible with automatic machines?
Yes, they are designed for integration on rotary or linear automatic machines, including third-party systems.
What dosing range do the volumetric dosers cover?
We offer sizes that cover a range from micro-doses of 0.1 ml up to 5000 ml. The available sizes are:
0–12 ml

5–260 ml

50–1300 ml

What materials are used for product-contact parts?
The contact parts are made of AISI 316L stainless steel with a mirror-polished finish and seals made of certified materials for food and pharmaceutical use (PTFE, HPU, FKM, EPDM, PEEK, etc.).
Can the unit be disassembled for cleaning?
Yes, all product-contact components are easily removable thanks to tri-clamp fittings. The valves are also designed for quick inspection and cleaning.
How is the dosing volume adjusted?
The volume is adjusted mechanically using a handwheel with a 4-digit mechanical indicator, for precise and repeatable setting.
What types of valves are available?
We offer different types of valves depending on the product to be dosed:
– Rotary 3-way valves: for medium to high-viscosity products, including those with particles.
– Vertical 3-way valves: for liquids and particle-free products.
– 2-way anti-drip valves: for integration on rotary or linear machines.
– Bottom-up valves (immersion): ideal for foaming products.
Are the valves suitable for dosing products with particles?
Yes. We offer full-flow valves in 1” and ½” versions that allow particles up to 20x20x20 mm or 10x10x10 mm to pass through, with no mechanical obstructions in the flow path.
What options are available for controlling the pneumatic actuators?
Position sensors can be integrated (IFM MVQ101 for rotary actuators, Sick for vertical actuators) to monitor correct operation of the dosing cycle.
Do you offer custom executions?
Yes. On request and upon technical evaluation, we manufacture special executions (e.g. extended nozzles for bottom-up filling, customized lengths, specific valve-doser combinations, etc.).
